Facility Use Policy

The following policy describing the proper use of the CASA Office was approved by CASA Officers in the monthly business meeting on January 11, 2011. Further modification will be discussed and approved accordingly by CASA Committee.

  1. Use of the facility is limited primarily for Scouting events. Non-Scouting use will not be permitted.
  2. The facility is a total of 800 SQ foot and is divided into 3 rooms. It is suitable for meeting, workshop, training and presentation. It is not suitable for troop meetings. The facility is not available for commercial use, social gathering or other similar activities, which are not in Scouting spirit in addition to possible causes of excessive noise or disruption to neighboring business offices.
  3. There are parking spaces designated for surrounding businesses. Please do not park on those spaces. You can find guest parking spaces in the back of the building. Use sound judgment to park your car. CASA is not responsible for your parking violation.
  4. The facility is available during the hours between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. everyday.
  5. Unit leaders can make reservations for this facility through CASA’s website http://www.casa-scouts.org with an issued password by CASA Facility Staff
  6. Currently there is no deposit, fee or charge for using of the facility. To cover the utility charges, a $5.00 (or more) tax-deductible donation for each use is recommended. (The fee schedule will be discussed later by the Committee if the expenses are higher.). Cross-CASA units meetings are exempt from this fee. Please place your donation in the donation box (preferable a personal check). Your unit may issue and mail a check periodically (monthly or quarterly) to the above address.
  7. Entrance keys will be available through CASA’s Area Facility Managers:

The unit facility representative is responsible for picking up and returning the key timely. He/She should also make sure this facility is properly used and maintained. In case there is any problem, he/she should file a report promptly.
  8. Smoking, alcohol, loud noise, running, jumping, and very young children are prohibited in the facility. Watch safety and use common sense.
  9. Leave No Trace. Before you leave, clean up and turn off lights, air conditioning, heater, and close windows and door. Do not leave any food, water, drink, paper, materials, or trashes behind you.
